About
Patricia (Pattie) Esguerra is a Filipina American film and video editor. Born in the Philippines, raised in the Inland Empire, and bred in Los Angeles, CA, she developed a passion for the arts and entertainment from a young age and was influenced by filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg and James Cameron. She graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a major in Theatre, Film, and Digital Production and has since then expanded her career in more ways than one.
From cinematic narratives to promos, advertisements, music videos, live events, and digital media, Pattie edits with intent and can bring visions to reality. She edited for two seasons of the ViacomCBS Showcase, in which some of her edited shorts have been featured in festivals such as the Micheaux Film Festival (Zae Is Zendaya, The Tragedy of a Dog, Battle Zone: H-Mart), Salute Your Shorts Film Festival (Sucksession), and the Academy Award-qualifying Indy Shorts International Film Festival (Meantal Health Girls).
She was an assistant editor with ABC (The Walt Disney Company) where she worked on numerous promos for programs including Shark Tank, Dancing With the Stars, The Rookie/Rookie Feds, Home Economics, and more.
Pattie also spent over two years at Narrative Ads, an advertising agency where she edited and produced ads for brands such as DoorDash, PrettyLitter, Madison Reed, ShoeDazzle, FlexFits, and more. Additionally, she was the company’s first Post-Production Supervisor and managed workflows of the post-production team which spanned virtually across the United States, the Philippines, and Colombia.
With experience in both impactful storytelling and branded media, Pattie strives to create content that motivates audiences to broaden their perspectives. She strongly supports proper BIPOC as well as queer representation in mainstream media and ensures that they are reflected in the work she produces. She is also a huge advocate for sustainability and seeks to develop more environment-driven content, collaborating with more eco-conscious businesses and consumer brands. Regardless of what she creates, Pattie aims to not only entertain but to inspire audiences through her craft and incorporate her advocacies within standard industry practices.
